I think it also made me more aware of the GUS state that i was starting to become familiar with.
I think i am maintaining mental tranquility & mental flow when out and about but not sure about responding to stimuli with spontaneous, deep wisdom.

I've noticed that until recently 'I' was pushing and pulling on the pushing & pulling on that something. GUS i think is just natural pushing & pulling on that something. But not pushing & pulling on the natural pushing and pulling on the something. lol. when im around other people the wall comes up and i go into p&p on the p&p :) But for the first time recently i was able to maintain what i believe to be GUP when speaking to someone for a minute or so before the wall came up. It was awesome. So somewhere to aim for, or no where to aim for!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1621407185903447523.post-62022369512417730072016-05-29T06:59:22.731-04:002016-05-29T06:59:22.731-04:00Thank you, lovely and systematic! I'm new to your blog, but I think I understand what you mean by auto think, and here's how it explains something I've always wondered about (as a fairly long-time meditator): how is it that one can go to practice, sit for an hour or however long, and so often "come up with" a solution to whatever intellectual, emotional, mental, or psychological problem is present without even asking to solve it. It simply appears. Relatedly, why is it that I have heard a very very experienced meditator, who was giving a talk, say, "This talk came to me while I was sitting"? This might initially seem surprising - isn't the idea Not to Think? But "auto think" as a strategy explains these, I believe. I also like the parsing of audio and visual mental activity. That's really helpful...
